Travel planning is a complex process in our times, and you deserve to have a professional looking out for your needs and best interests. Early planning will make this whole process work most effectively, so call us soon if you have something you are considering.

Tips for Travelers

Airport Security . . . How to Live with it!

Travel through our US airports has become a hot topic in the news media, especially with the introduction of the new body scanner equipment. While the topic evokes some strong feelings by many, it is a reality of how we can safely travel under the current organization of security screening.

Here is a link to the TSA website that can answer many questions of what to do and what not to do!

www.tsa.gov/travelers/index.shtm

Being prepared ahead of time can make all the difference in how easily you sail through those lines and out to your gate! If you still have questions, talk to us, and we will get the answers you need.

Airline Baggage Fees . . . Costs/Restrictions???

How we wish there was a consistent answer to this question, but the major carriers in the US have imposed varying fees that need to be checked and double checked prior to your departure date. In general, to check a single bag will cost $20-$25, each way, for domestic flights in the US. The only US carrier still not charging checked baggage fees is Southwest. Most international flights still allow 1-2 checked bags at no cost.

For any of you traveling on small planes anywhere in the world, there is usually a weight restriction for baggage. Always check to find out how much you can take, for both weight and dimensions.

Most of the major carriers offer information regarding baggage and fees on their websites, so that can be a good place to find information on a well designed website. In addition, we are here to answer all those questions for you and welcome the opportunity to provide you with the most up to date information on how to handle your luggage.
